The Aeroscan M5 is now fully automated using Laser Technology
Lantana, FL, (February 1, 2016) – Aeroscan, a Palm Beach Aircraft Propeller, Inc. company, announced a major evolution to its aircraft propeller blade measurement system. Aeroscan is the worldwide leader in aircraft propeller blade measurement systems and with this announcement Aeroscan introduces the latest version of its already popular tool, the Aeroscan M5. The latest version of the M5 is a fully automated system employing state-of-the-art laser sensor technology. The Aeroscan M5 measures the five dimensions of a propeller’s airfoil, at each required station, in one scan.
“This evolution is a giant leap in blade measuring technology for the Aeroscan M5,” said Robert O’Neill, Senior Developer and designer. “This new technology provides greatly improved accuracy when compared with previous versions and manual measurement methods. Additionally, the Aeroscan M5 now offers greater repeatability to provide blade to blade accuracy. The new version,” he continued, “was developed under the direction of our parent company, Palm Beach Aircraft Propeller, Inc. and the resulting design has exceeded our expectations. Many software features have been added based on user feedback.”
“Using the Aeroscan M5 has saved our shop many hours on each propeller overhaul,” said Gary Jordan, owner of Jordan Propeller Service in San Antonio, Texas. “The time saved has allowed us to return propellers to service faster, and our customers really appreciate that.”
Larry Harris, General Manager of Palm Beach Aircraft Propeller, Inc. said, “We have come to rely on the Aeroscan M5 to provide fast and accurate blade measurements. We depend on it and with the improvements in the new fully automated design using laser sensors, the results are far better than we anticipated.”
The Aeroscan M5 aircraft propeller blade measurement systems are in operation in quality repair stations in the U.S., Canada, Germany, France, Portugal and including manufacturing facilities.
