A fun and easy project for my plane was an exterior screw kit. Replacing those old, gnarled out screw heads and washers really helps clean up the look of the plane. When it comes time for annual, it’s the first thing the IA notices and there are no special tools required. It only takes a couple hours and it’s a great way to spend an afternoon at the airport. Total investment: $48!
