New lightweight aircraft jack lifts landing gear in under one minute and with minimum effort
Equidyne Corp,™ of Palm Springs, California, recently introduced their patented AEROJAK® aircraft jack (Patent No. 8,960,645), a mechanically operated lifting device designed to lift the landing gear of Cessnas and other aircraft with flat spring, steel gear. The asymmetrical design of the AEROJAK® allows users to lift either landing gear by simply swinging the head to its opposite side.
The AEROJAK® is specifically designed to lift Cessna flat gear C- 120, 140, 150, 170, 172, 175, 182, 190, 195, 205, 206, 336, 337 but will also lift flat gear, Mustang II, Citabria, Decathlon, and similar flat gear aircraft. Plus, with the Tubular gear insert, the AEROJAK® will lift Cessna round gear C- 152, 172RG, 177RG, 182RG, and 210s and, with certain mechanical adjustments, the AEROJAK® will lift tailwheel aircraft as well.
Weighing in at less than 9 pounds, the lightweight, once-piece design of the AEROJAK® allows it to remain in the airplane when not in use, allowing the pilot to use it in all kinds of scenarios: annual inspections, in an emergency at an away airport, for routine maintenance, or changing to tundra tires for outback off-field landings. The AEROJAK® makes inspection and maintenance so easy, you’ll want to do it more often!
The AEROJAK® is currently for sale through Aircraft Spruce’s electronic catalog this year (part # 12-03794) and will appear in their 2016 hard copy catalog.
