April 9, 2020-Textron Aviation, Cessna’s parent company, announced on April 6 that it has begun making plastic face shields and cloth masks to help support the medical community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Production on these materials began last week and were tested for effectiveness in collaboration with Wichita State University. The protective equipment will be provided to those in the medical community and first responders.
