A patent lawsuit initiated in 2018 between Garmin and uAvionix was resolved as of October 17. The result of the suit is a confidential agreement that will allow uAvionix to continue offering its ADS-B products. The lawsuit was initiated by Garmin and alleged that uAvionix used Garmin’s patented Mode 3/A technology in the EchoUAT and skyBeacon products.
