The FAA has launched its 47th annual General Aviation and Part 135 Activity Survey, asking aircraft owners to report their hours flown in 2024 and how they use general aviation aircraft.
According to FAA officials, the survey data helps the agency:
- Anticipate and meet demand for National Airspace System facilities and services
- Evaluate the impact of safety initiatives and regulatory changes
- Develop more accurate safety measures for the general aviation community
The data also supports safety research and analysis by other government agencies, the aviation industry, trade associations, and private businesses.
To participate, visit AviationSurvey.org. Some GA aircraft owners will receive a survey by mail and are encouraged to fill it out to ensure all aviation activity is represented.
