A new upgrade to the uAvionix AV-30 software (version 3.2.0) adds a new level of capability that will give pilots a streamlined Foreflight-to panel experience. This new program will not just build a route in Foreflight, it will instantly appear on the AV-30, ready for the autopilot to follow.

With this new system, pilots can use Foreflight as a navigation source for the AV-30. This means all waypoints and routes are sent directly from ForeFlight to the AV-30, allowing for GPS steering and advanced waypoint anticipation for the designated flight plan. The program will also update the active flight plan and make any route changes that may be necessary to avoid bad weather or comply with ATC instructions. The pilot is informed of any updates through the AV-30.

Enabling this new ForeFlight integrations requires an AV-Link Wi-Fi bridge. Autopilot coupling mandates the use of the Advances Autopilot Unlock, according to company officials.

Updates are currently available to AV-30-E users and will soon be available to AV-30-C users, as well. For more information, visit uAvionix.com
