Textron has released a recommended service bulletin for the glove box/map case latch for certain Cessna models, generally 1996 and newer. The old glove box latch is obsolete, and the new replacement latch has a more robust design. This is a recommended service item that can be accomplished at a scheduled maintenance period or inspection.
