The FAA has granted Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) for Hartzell Engine Tech’s PowerUP S-1200 magneto.

The PowerUP S-1200 series was developed as a direct replacement for both 4- and 6-cylinder general aviation aircraft engines. The company offers both impulse-coupled and “shower of sparks” configurations. According to company officials, these magnetos re designed to enhance performance in key components such as the flange, fasteners, timing cam and access plugs.
