RANGR2NextGen avionics leader FreeFlight Systems announced that it has extended its warranty on the company’s popular RANGR product line of certified ADS-B systems to five years.

Now through December 31, 2015, customers who purchase and register a RANGR product will receive FreeFlight’s industry-leading 24-month warranty, as well as three years of Blue Care, the company’s extended warranty program, at no additional cost. FreeFlight’s Blue Care program provides users enhanced support through access to exchange options providing a faster turnaround time, minimizing potential aircraft downtime. Outbound shipping costs are also included in the Blue Care program.

“Our five-year extended warranty program demonstrates our commitment to quality, and provides our customers with confidence that they will be supported through and beyond the ADS-B mandate,” said Pete Ring, FreeFlight Systems’ Director of Sales and Marketing.

FreeFlight Systems is one of the most experienced ADS-B providers in the marketplace. An industry trailblazer, the company was the first to produce and certify an ADS-B UAT. FreeFlight’s line of ADS-B avionics have accumulated thousands of hours of operations in the harshest flying conditions resulting in a mature and robust product line. All RANGR systems go through rigorous environmental and functional checks that include helicopter vibration testing, ensuring superior long-life performance. The RANGR solutions are designed to interface with a broad range of aircraft avionics and tablet applications, providing customers with flexible upgrade and display options. The superior quality of these products drives FreeFlight’s relentless commitment to customer satisfaction.

The RANGR series consists of fully-featured, TSO certified ADS-B solutions that accommodate a wide variety of customer needs. The most popular RANGR configuration, the FDL-978-XVR, provides customers full ADS-B capability in a single-box solution. The system is fully TSO certified, diversity-capable and automatically synchronizes with legacy transponders without the need for additional pilot interaction. The FDL-978-XVR is part of the company’s 400-plus AML STC for general aviation aircraft, and was selected by the FAA to provide upgraded ADS-B avionics in aircraft equipped during the original Capstone Program.
