Having an avionics upgrade done, shop installing g500 couldn't get 300a to take heading info from g500/430w, Garmin engineers couldn't help, the aspen rep tried to help out. It seems that the 300a uses ac voltage for heading inputs and the G500 puts out dc. So the 300a has been sent to autopilot central for an upgrade. It's not back yet but will post with the results.
