After months of research and preparation to find an intuitive and time-tested alternative to our previous format, the Cessna Owner Organization proudly introduces the new Cessna Owner Forum.
In addition to a sleek new look and user-friendly layout, the new forum introduces a number of new features not previously available. For instance, members now have the ability to upload an image or document to supplement their questions or bolster their responses to fellow members.
And speaking of fellow members, there is also a built-in private messaging option that allows you to email “offline” questions/comments direct to forum moderator Scott Sherer or any other registered forum participant.
There are numerous other features we could highlight here, but we thought it best for you to just give it a try and see for yourself. After all, it’s your forum!
REGISTRATION REQUIRED FOR FIRST-TIME USE
To better protect the forum from hackers and spammers, we are requiring all current members to register for the forum using their current Cessna Owner Organization member ID number. But don’t fret; registration is a simple five-step process:
Step #1: Click the “Forums” tab located along the top of the www.CessaOwner.org homepage.
Step #2. Click the word “register” located in the first block of text.
Step #3: IMPORTANT: Your COO member ID number is required for this step. This is the 11 or 12-digit number that appears on your official COO membership card. If you do not have your membership card handy, the number can also be found on the mailing label affixed to the cover of your monthly edition of Cessna Owner Magazine.
With your member ID number at the ready, complete the required registration form and be sure to note/record your new user ID and password for future visits.
Step #4: For added security against hackers and SPAM, we have added an “Image Verification” feature intended to dissuade or otherwise prevent automated programs or “bots” from infiltrating the site. Once you’ve completed your registration information, simply type the six digits and/or letters that appear in the box. Please note that these letters and/or numbers are case sensitive. If you are unable to clearly read the image, click the “refresh image” option and a new image will appear.
Step #5: Verify all of the information you just entered, click “Complete Signup” on the bottom of the page, and you’re done!
A customer service representative will receive notice of your registration and will promptly update your status level, giving you access to the members only areas and additional features of the forum. Please allow up to 12 hours for this approval process.
Registration is a one-time process. Once you’re done, you will not have to register again. For subsequent access, simply go to the Forums tab and log in using your newly created user ID and password … it’s that simple!
