Aside from being an exciting destination for pilots, Mexico currently has some very attractive fuel prices. Today’s prices (June 3, 2008) are approximately $ 3.60 per gallon for AVGAS and $4.60 per gallon for JET A. To these prices you need to add the usage fee tax which ranges from $ 10 to $ 15 per fill-up (amount depends on the wingspan of the aircraft).  Assuming you pump 50 gallons into a C182, that would come out to about $ 3.80 USD a gallon, still a really good deal compared to what we are paying stateside. Take advantage of these fuel prices to visit beautiful colonial cities, fascinating archeological sites and natural beauty.
